So, how much does a website cost?
Tue 24th Sep 2013
It sounds like a simple question but it isn't quite as easy to answer as you might think, which is why I don't offer a price structure.
People often casually ask how much a website costs but, like many services, the answer depends very much on what you, the client, wants your website to achieve. Every project and every client has different requirements so I never approach a project with a price in mind.
Imagine that you are a painter and decorator. Somebody you've just met asks you "I'd like you to re-decorate my house, how much will it cost?" For a start you don’t know if they live in a one bedroom flat or a stately home with more rooms than you can count. Perhaps they want the whole place painted a tasteful shade of magnolia, or maybe they want bespoke wallpaper designed for each room to match their hand-woven silk curtains. Apply the same logic to designing a website, you might want a single, static page just to say who you are, where you are and what you do – or you might own a department store and want a huge, completely content managed e-commerce website.
I don't want to shoehorn your business needs into a fixed package, so if you want some information about how much a website might cost, call me. Talk to me about what you want your website to achieve and then I can put together a couple of free quotes with some options for you to consider. Don't forget, if you don’t want to commit to a larger website, everything I build is scalable so I can add to it in the future as your business grows.
